Understanding the importance of body condition
Findings from a landmark 14-year study by PURINA veterinarians and scientists demonstrated that dogs fed to an ideal lean body condition – neither underweight nor overweight – lived for longer and were healthier than their littermates. As a result, our nutritionally-balanced dog and cat food formulas and their feeding guidelines have been designed to help you to keep your pet at an ideal weight while providing important nutrients to help protect overall health and wellbeing. Cat Nutritional Innovations
Results from studies by PURINA reveal groundbreaking new insights into the ageing process in senior cats. The study showed that cats fed on a specially created diet containing LONGEVIS™ – which includes antioxidants vitamin E and beta-carotene, a natural prebiotic and a blend of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids – lived up to one year longer than cats fed a standard nutritionally complete feline diet.
