She qualified as a vet more than 22 years ago and has worked in both mixed and small animal practice.

Katy joined Companion Consultancy in 2021. In her role, she helps create and edit clear, practical pet health content for pet owners, drawing on both her veterinary knowledge and her experience in practice.
She still works part time in a small animal practice, where she enjoys seeing pets and their owners in the consult room. This helps her stay close to the everyday questions, concerns and challenges that pet owners face, as well as the realities of modern veterinary practice.
