We believe that pets and people are better together.
The bond between pets and people is truly unique. Built on shared companionship, experiences and love, it inspires our belief that when people and pets bond, life becomes richer. That’s why we’ve been developing great tasting, life-enhancing food for cats and dogs of all ages and lifestyles for over 125 years.
Our portfolio of much-loved brands touches millions of lives every day. By offering a wide range of prices and nutritional quality – from good to exceptional – we make sure that complete and balanced nutrition is available to everyone.
As pet lovers and owners ourselves, we know how quality nutrition can help pets and their owners live happier, healthier and longer lives together. Creating richer lives for pets and the people who love them is what we do best and why we exist.
Pets and people are better together.
Purina’s Global Purpose is: Creating richer lives for pets and the people who love them. Our purpose builds on our heritage and our belief: When pets and people bond, life becomes richer #WeAreBetterWithPets It reflects our expertise and relates to the challenges of the world around us. It is a motivation which inspires our people everyday.
Our approach is to listen our stakeholders, understand what matters most to them, what questions they have and what areas they want Purina to focus on at both local and European level in order to be the number one trusted PetCare company around Europe.
As we evolve and transform Purina from a pet food company into a pet care ecosystem, we will explore new ways to deliver best in class pet owner experiences and fulfil our purpose to create richer lives for pets and the people who love them.
It is only by combining our pet food expertise and portfolio strength with new business models and partnerships that we will help more people experience the amazing benefits pets bring to our lives.
Building the Purina ecosystem to become the UK’s leading pet care provider, from our core of life-enhancing nutrition through to the experiences pet owners are seeking, beyond just food.
It's rooted in our purpose, and as we help more people to experience the amazing benefits pets bring to our lives, then we will make our ambition a reality and deserve to be seen as the most trusted pet care choice among pet owners for the lifetime of their pet.
We’re pet lovers and owners too.
We’re focused people and expert people. Passionate people and dedicated people. Cat people and dog people. Proud to be part of the wider Nestlé family. Working together every day with shared values, which are rooted in respect.
We keep it simple and focused on the things that matter most – and having fun doing it! Caring for each other and celebrating our differences. Remembering to act at speed and learn from our mistakes – exchanging knowledge and capabilities to go faster. Doing business in a way that is transparent, fair and sustainable as part of the wider Nestlé family.
We have a long history of supporting local charity and community organisations. Volunteering in the communities we live and work in brings many benefits, and that’s why we support our employees with the option to take up to two volunteering leave days per year.
Volunteering comes in many forms, sharing professional skills through things like one-to-one mentoring, being a school governor or taking part in a community project; or it could be a team challenge like sprucing up a garden at a nearby school or helping out at a local retirement home.
In May 2019 we announced our Mental Health & Wellness pledge with MIND
In addition we have lots of great tools to support our people with Mental Health and Wellbeing like a 24/7 employee assistance programme for employees and their families launched by Nestlé, mental health training for all of our people, the Time to Talk initiative which runs monthly, Mental Health First Aiders, and of course, our Pets at Work scheme which brings tremendous health and wellness benefits to our office.
Having a workforce that is diverse and inclusive is essential for a successful business. We need a balance of genders so that we can benefit from a diversity of styles, perspectives and decision-making.
As part of the Nestlé family in the UK we want to build and uphold our inclusive values, and through our partnership with Stonewall we are part of a network for businesses and organisations committed to improving inclusion for LGBT+ people in the workplace.
