Priority Kennel Club health schemes and testing:
None but there are several recommended schemes that the Kennel Club recommends which can be found here.
The Schnauzer is a strong, vigorous dog capable of great endurance who can make a fun, rewarding companion for active owners who love training and have an interest in dog sports. They can be very much a terrier at heart however, and do need consistent reward-based training along with ongoing socialisation as they do not always appreciate unannounced strangers (human or canine). A natural watchdog, they are quite vocal and will be quick to alert the family of any strangers approaching their territory.
There are three sizes of Schanuzers - the Standard Schnauzer, the Giant Schnauzer and the Miniature Schnauzer.
