Get to know Oakley

Cockapoo, 1 Year old

🌳 Countryside dog
🍼 Lives with children

My favourite thing about Oakley is...

Oakley is always up for a long walk no matter the weather, and he’s always up for a cuddle and learning. Ever since he was a puppy he has been learning new things including agility work now.

The biggest challenge with Oakley is...

He pulls whilst on a lead ( however we now have a halti head collar so he doesn’t do that) and he can’t go off lead or be around other dogs as he has been attacked before so he is very nervous

The most surprising thing about owning a Cockapoo is...

There love for you no matter what , even if I have just told him off for something naughty he will come and give me a cuddle and some kisses. Every time I come through the door wether it’s been 30 minutes or 6 hours I get the biggest cuddles ever. 🥰

What I wish I’d known about Cockapoos is...

There need for constant grooming. This a big thing to think about before getting a Cockapoo. I have Oakley groomed every 6 weeks to stay onto of it with a bath a trim and a brush and I brush him everyone 2 days to stay on top of mats. Also they have a very high risk of having separation anxiety, so it is something to think about as it can cost a lot of money getting the medication from the vets.

Did you know?

Cockapoos don’t have a strong doggy odour (providing regular grooming and trimming is carried out).
