Introducing Alfie
Cocker Spaniel (English), 9 years old
My favourite thing about Alfie is...
his loyalty and the way he makes me feel happy every day. He never expects anything from you but always wants to be near you. His favourite toy is his tennis ball. He likes to chase after it and catch it whilst it is still bouncing or just carry it when he gets tired. If you forget to take the ball when you go out, he'll either find a lost one or pick up something suitable like a plastic bottle.
The biggest challenge with Alfie is...
He isn't a challenge really but I'll never be able to repay him for all the love he shows me and my family.
The most surprising thing about owning a Cocker Spaniel (English) is...
they can run all day ( the working ones anyway) or be content with just a short walk if circumstances dictate.
What I wish I’d known about Cocker Spaniels (English) is...
they are the best pet in the world and then I'd have got one earlier.
