Come and meet Diesel
Cocker Spaniel (English), 16 Weeks old
My favourite thing about Diesel is...
Diesel was very ill just after we got him and we did not think he would make it. Diesel is a puppy with a lion's heart; he is so fun-loving and sociable, he loves all people and our 2 year old grandson just loves him to bits. Diesel loves playing with his squeaky toy.
The biggest challenge with Diesel is...
Diesel faced a lot of challenges because he was so ill but now he is catching up our biggest challenge is house training because he has only just had his second jab. So now we have to try and persuade him to use toilet outside. Also, trying to get him to walk nicely on the lead!
The most surprising thing about owning a Cocker Spaniel (English) is...
How gentle he is at taking something from his dad's mouth. I've always had springer spaniels, so I'm really surprised how gentle he is at eating and he is so anxious to please. He loves his squeaky toy that he found that belonged to my step daughter's dogs.
What I wish I’d known about Cocker Spaniels (English) is...
That they can be a bit snappy; I've been told its normal with them till they grow up, and he is getting better.
Did you know?
A Cocker Spaniel named Tangle was the first cancer-detecting dog, trained to recognise the smell of cancer with a success rate of 80% accuracy.
