Meet Scooby
Hungarian Vizsla, 8 years old
He came from Vizsla Rescue .
My favourite thing about Scooby is...
He's very friendly - he loves children and as we foster, he needed to be approved to be safe around children (although ensure he is supervised).
The biggest challenge with Scooby is...
He hates being left alone - he had three other homes before being adopted and also lived outside on his own in a kennel (he is now in the house). He is quite nervous of noises such as door bells or any bangs like fireworks.
The most surprising thing about owning a Hungarian Vizsla is...
very affectionate and love to be with people.
What I wish I’d known about Hungarian Vizslas is...
They can suffer from anxiety and you have to accept this - you cannot change what happened in the past if you take on a rescue, only work with them to build confidence.
Did you know?
Known as dogs who originally hunted alongside falcons, it is said that they still have a natural affinity for birds of prey.
