Meet Pip
Jack Russell Terrier, 6 Months old
My favourite thing about Pip is...
At night Pip listens to my breathing and if my breathing changes from normal he wakes me up. He saves my life by doing this .He is not trained to do it.He just looks after me instinctively.I think he is marvellous. He is training to be an assistance dog.He looks after the job of having fun most of the time. He is friendly to everyone except people he doesn't know. He warns a stranger to keep away.
The biggest challenge with Pip is...
He has a love hate relationship with the 2 cats he lives with he loves to play with them even though he doesn't speak their language. when he wags his tail they don't know that he is being friendly because it means the opposite in cat language but they are getting used to each other now he is 6 months old and they have lived with him 4 months.
The most surprising thing about owning a Jack Russell Terrier is...
In the book he is energetic and athletic but he would rather have a nap on my lap than run around all day.
What I wish I’d known about Jack Russell Terriers is...
They are hard to train but once you have learned to communicate with them you can get them to do most things.
