My favourite thing about Zuka is...
He is the most charismatic dog I have ever owned and he makes us laugh every single day.
The biggest challenge with Zuka is...
The amount of energy he has and the anxiety he has about being with us or other people. He is very gregarious. The Purina Relax has actually been very helpful and both his trainer and sitter said they noticed a difference.
The most surprising thing about owning a Pointer is...
They are so funny, they love to be nosey, to be where you are and to be involved. They are as kind and gentle as labradors but with masses more 'oomph'!
What I wish I’d known about Pointers is...
That they are quite highly strung and can be quite needy. They don't have good recall when they get a scent of something exciting. They have been bed to find birds (not to hurt them just 'point' them out) so the instinct to roam and run around for hours is very strong.
Did you know?
The name ‘Pointer’ is because when they spot prey, they literally point their entire body to the thing in question.
