Come and say Hi to Pippin
Tibetan Spaniel, 4 years old
She came from The Dog Team .
My favourite thing about Pippin is...
I love that Pippin has come from being a trauma dog in the dog meat trade and is now a very loving and compassionate companion. She is quirky, brave and loyal even though she has faced years of abuse at the hands of the humans before us.
The biggest challenge with Pippin is...
She’s very protective other the things that are precious. She will bury everything, including humans to make sure they’re protected. Pippin leaves little treasures buried wherever she goes. It appears that Pippin conserves everything out of fear it may be taken away from her.
The most surprising thing about owning a Tibetan Spaniel is...
It is very surprising that she can be so affectionate and loving despite her history in the dog meat trade. Where she could trust absolutely nobody.
What I wish I’d known about Tibetan Spaniels is...
They love a good walk but are not high energetic dogs. Her breed is perfect for a family with young children.
Did you know?
They were once referred to as ‘little lions’ which was a great honour as lions are sacred in Buddhism.
