My favourite thing about Minnie is...
She’s very affectionate and gentle, has been no bother, was house trained in a week. She sleeps a lot, loves being in her cosy dog bed with a blanket, and just needs 2 walks a day. She’s quite playful and literally loves everyone.
The biggest challenge with Minnie is...
when a puppy she always wanted to play, and would run after the brush when sweeping the yard.
The most surprising thing about owning a Whippet is...
They are very gentle and don’t need a lot of grooming. A lot of people say they are hard work but we are in our 70s and have not found this. They are quite content with just 2 walks a day then they sleep a lot. It’s hard to get them out of their bed before dinnertime.
What I wish I’d known about Whippets is...
I researched the breed before we committed ourselves, so knew pretty much all about them. Our breeder didn’t let them go til they were 3 months and socialised. So secret is get a reputable breeder, if getting a pup.

Whippets are super quiet dogs and some owners say theirs doesn’t ever bark!
