I was feeding our 17week old Border Collie a cheap dry puppy food for a while then tries this ProPlan. Ollie originally grazed with his food, just eating it when he happened to wall past his bowl and his stools were always soft or runny. We thought it was because of his age but within a couple of days of switching, he had normal hard stool (made life easier for cleanup!!). The first bowlful I put down for him was gone in under 30 seconds and everytime after so we've had to buy a slow feeder for him! I do think it's quite expensive at roughly £3/kg depending on where you buy it and it isn't something you can buy from the local supermarket but in terms of quality, it is spot on.
I'm only giving this 4 stars however, not because of the quality but because of the packaging.
It has a nifty side handle so you can pour the food out but the precut strip is useless. It has a resealable section which would be fab, if it actually sealed the entire bag but instead leaves a good inch open and the instructions are a little on the contradictory side. For a 10kg dog of 4-5months, it states 125-140g. Great. Except that is 1 little bowlful. It doesn't then tell you whether that's the amount per feed or for the whole day so we've had to guess. I think so long as Purina sort out the feeding guide and the sealing issue, it's a top top food.
we got to try this for our 9 month old puppy (a labradoor crossed with a collie). He loves it! He previously used dry food anyway so he was used to that but he loved the fact that it wasnt totally dry i think!
I had an opportunity to try this product through #insidersuk and I absolutely love it! Skys (dog) fur feels alot softer and shinier and she will not go back to her other food. We've had to throw her old food out. I don't think we will be going back to any other food she seems happy and better in herself since starting #purinaproplan. Thank you purina. Can't fault.
I received this product through #insidersuk for my 4 month old Rottweiler puppy and he absolutely loves it. I've found that it fills him up more than other foods available and the price is entirely reasonable. 10/10
