Meet Toby
Basset Griffon Vendeen (Grand), 2 years old
My favourite thing about Toby is...
He loves company of people and other dogs.
The biggest challenge with Toby is...
Trying to eat things he shouldn't like stones and lumps of wood.
The most surprising thing about owning a Basset Griffon Vendeen (Grand) is...
They do not shed hair. They attract a lot of attention when they are out for walks but they are perfect family dogs. Not all GBGV dogs have the same colouring or types of coat.Toby is the second GBGV we have owned.
What I wish I’d known about Basset Griffon Vendeens (Grand) is...
The breed is not widely known so finding a registered breeder can be difficult.
Did you know?
The Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen was developed for hunting wild boar, but also for hunting hare, on foot rather than from horseback.
