Introducing Charlie
Beagle, 6 Months old
My favourite thing about Charlie is...
He hates the rain and the cold; he won’t go out if it’s raining. He likes to stand with the wind blowing his ears as if he’s trying to fly. He loves a cuddle and chasing bubbles from his bubble machine.
The biggest challenge with Charlie is...
He chews everything from socks to furniture.
The most surprising thing about owning a Beagle is...
They cannot be let off a lead because if they get a scent they will run away and may not be seen for days. They will eat anything at any time. They can be difficult to train. They pull on the lead as they are scent hunting all the time.
What I wish I’d known about Beagles is...
Wish I had known about them not being walked off a lead but apart from that we love everything about him.
Did you know?
As the Beagle is such a manageable size, and has such an incredible nose, they have found work around the world as a drugs and food sniffer dog in many airports.
