Get to know Shirley
Border Terrier & Jack Russell Terrier, 1 Year old
My favourite thing about Shirley is...
Her sassy personality! Shirley has such character and always makes me laugh, even when she’s being naughty. She loves to learn and enjoys learning new tricks, my favourites include “be human” where she stands tall on her back legs and “you got something to say!?” Which prompts her to huff at me! Shirley has her own Instagram where we show all the cute videos and photos of her adventures.
The biggest challenge with Shirley is...
Recently Shirley has been ill, we are waiting for test results for Addisons disease and or CECs. She is a happy girl though and loves other dogs and desperately wants to be friends with them all. While we are trying to teach her that she can’t say hello to everyone she still gets quite frustrated and has started to huff at them!
The most surprising thing about owning a Border Terrier & Jack Russell Terrier is...
The speed she can run with such little legs! She is always on the go and loves to run in our local secure dog field.
What I wish I’d known about Border Terriers & Jack Russell Terriers is...
She doesn’t always listen, exciting things like dogs, birds or cats are ALWAYS more interesting that any treat I could give her. I would recommend asking with the parents have been tested for Canine Epileptoid Cramping syndrome, this can be common in border terriers and can be difficult to diagnose.
