Presenting Luna
Cocker Spaniel (English), 4 years old
My favourite thing about Luna is...
She loves her fuss and is very much a lap dog. She isn’t a foodie though which makes any training a challenge but adores her rubber ball and always wants to play ball. She’s the loudest drinker I’ve ever heard and always makes me laugh each time she drinks.
The biggest challenge with Luna is...
Pulls on the lead all the time.
The most surprising thing about owning a Cocker Spaniel (English) is...
They’re mad as a box of frogs but incredibly loving dogs.
What I wish I’d known about Cocker Spaniels (English) is...
Tbh I knew before buying one, but they have a lot of energy so need at least one good walk / run per day. Luna has two walks. One is a normal lead walk and the other is to a field where we can tire her out chasing a ball.
Did you know?
There are two very different types of Cocker Spaniels: the English Cocker Spaniel and the American Cocker Spaniel. Enthusiasts on both sides of the Atlantic argue about which one is the ‘real’ one! While the English Cocker Spaniel is taller than they are long, the American one is longer than they are tall. They also have a longer muzzle than the American ones.
