Greetings from Pebble
Dachshund (Miniature Smooth-Haired), 4 years old
My favourite thing about Pebble is...
She is playful, full of character, very fast when chasing her ball. She is surprisingly strong when playing tug. She can be anxious and doesn’t like loud noises but she is the most loving little munchkin ever. She disappears when small children are around but ignores visiting dogs. She’s quite complex but so much fun and a joy to be with.
The biggest challenge with Pebble is...
Destroying squeaky toys, getting her to go out for a walk. If she spots her lead she will hide but is fine once outside. It is difficult to get her to interact with our 3 year old grandson who is very gentle with her.
The most surprising thing about owning a Dachshund (Miniature Smooth-Haired) is...
How far they can walk. I’ve walked Pebble 11k. How active she is and so so clever but stubborn.
What I wish I’d known about Dachshunds (Miniature Smooth-Haired) is...
They can be anxious as it can take some encouragement to get her to be sociable. She doesn’t bark, just gets clingy but this is not true of all Dacshunds.
