Let us introduce Teddy & Bear
Dogue de Bordeaux, 1 Year old
My favourite thing about Teddy & Bear is...
The breed only barks when needed, so your neighbours are never troubled.
The biggest challenge with Teddy & Bear is...
Keeping them fed. They are always hungry and puppy eyes make even the strongest-willed give in. Their appetite is huge like their personality.
The most surprising thing about owning a Dogue de Bordeaux is...
They dont need too much exercise. They adapt to your routine. They are happy to be lazy couch potatoes and happy to run rampant around the park. No two days are the same with a Dogue.
What I wish I’d known about Dogue de Bordeauxs is...
That they only live for 5-7 years so you will replace the hole their love and then loss leaves sooner than breeds that live for an average 14 years or so. I got my first dogue in 1995 and am on my 5th. Would never change that. They are family and we know the 5 -7 year mark approaches and prepare by spoiling them and loving them even more than usual.
Did you know?
The Dogue de Bordeaux found fame in Hollywood starring opposite Tom Hanks in Turner and Hooch.
