Say Hello to Marnie

German Short-Haired Pointer, 9 Months old

🏠 Suburbs dog
🍼 Lives with children

My favourite thing about Marnie is...

She is just the right mix of independent and doting. She is super cuddly and affectionate when she’s relaxed but also quite happy to entertain herself. She has a cheeky streak which keeps us on our toes but also responds well to commands. She is very energetic and could run for hours but she is also happy to curl up on the chair and nap the day away.

The biggest challenge with Marnie is...

Keeping an eye on what she’s up to - that cheeky streak can come out at anytime, especially when she’s due a walk (or when she thinks she is!)

The most surprising thing about owning a German Short-Haired Pointer is...

How well they adapt to your lifestyle. Yes, they do require exercise and mental stimulation but not to the extent that I was told.

What I wish I’d known about German Short-Haired Pointers is...

How amazing they are. Though they are not the right breed for a first time dog owner.
