He knows exactly when his meals are due! He loves to paddle, but not swim, and he LOVES to bring his favourite soft toy to greet people.

They are very very intuitive dogs, and although they love to play with exuberance, they can also be so laid back
What I wish I’d known about Golden Retrievers is...
They steal your heart from day one! However, they do ‘shed’ their fur a lot and so require brushing frequently. It’s great to do this on a walk though, and the birds love the fur for their nests

Golden Retrievers are said to have extremely soft mouths, so soft in fact that they can carry a raw egg in their mouth without cracking the shell.
