My favourite thing about Oscar is...
Aside from his adorable face and fantastic temperament….I love the “bow” he gives to greet everyone as they come downstairs in the morning!!
The biggest challenge with Oscar is...
He was a terrible chewer as a puppy but that seems to be lessening (somewhat!!) now!! He can be very stubborn if he doesn’t get to go where he wants to go on his walks! It’s a challenge trying to move a (nearly) 40kg dog when he doesn’t want to be moved!!
The most surprising thing about owning a Golden Retriever is...
It’s not really surprising as Oscar is our 3rd “goldie” but they are just amazing with children. Their gentle temperament even with the youngest of children really is something to behold 🙂
What I wish I’d known about Golden Retrievers is...
Goldies are food “monsters” and they will eat just about anything given the chance!! As puppies they look adorably cute but they are IMMENSELY hard work but they are intelligent and readily trainable.
