My favourite thing about Alfie is...
Alfie is a 42kg teddy bear. He loves people of all ages from the youngest to the eldest, and is so patient and calm. As a puppy he had his mad moments but they didn’t last long. We belong to a walking group, he likes to see that we are all together. He is a large dog but we can take him anywhere because he is so well behaved.
The biggest challenge with Alfie is...
Drying him when he gets wet. Regular grooming is essential.
The most surprising thing about owning a Goldendoodle is...
He is exceptionally large, one of the biggest we have met but his dad was a giant standard poodle. He is so gentle, especially when being given treats. He doesn’t like swimming out of his depth which was a surprise considering he is a cross of 2 water dogs. The biggest surprise is how much attention he gets when walking him, he has been photographed so many times.
What I wish I’d known about Goldendoodles is...
Nothing, we have owned dogs for 60+ years and Alfie has been the best!
