Meet Zed
Greyhound, 8 years old
He came from Greyhound rescue wales .
My favourite thing about Zed is...
Zed is 34kg and 28" tall. Despite his size he is a gentle giant with children and other dogs. He can curl up small in his bed which is rather cute. He is the most faithful companion and no trouble when we go to work. He is excellent and quiet when you need him to accompany you to a cafe or pub.
The biggest challenge with Zed is...
There is only one big challenge...having to share the sofa or my bed with him.
The most surprising thing about owning a Greyhound is...
It's surprising as most greyhounds in rescue are about 3 to 5 year old when they finish racing, despite this the majority quickly settle into a home even though they have only lived in kennels, For a large breed most don't pull on the lead and are suitable for the older person.
What I wish I’d known about Greyhounds is...
I wish I had known that they often break wind when sharing your sofa!
