Training is key, both breeds are very head strong. Patience with house training, will bring it's rewards. They will eventually get into the habit of not messing indoors. Showing love and affection, but not so that your dog isn't comfortable to be on their own. Otherwise, you will end up with a very needy dog, who cannot be left alone.
