Say Hello to Daisy
King Charles Spaniel, 6 years old
She came from Canine Allsorts .
My favourite thing about Daisy is...
She is learning more every day. Totally shut down when she arrived on 1/1/22, now has friends, of all ages, and is finding out that not all people are cruel. She is a happy, loving little dog when she is at home with me. Daisy now finds the whole world fascinating and our walks take ages because just EVERYTHING has to be investigated thoroughly.
The biggest challenge with Daisy is...
Because she is a rescue dog she reacts badly to other small dogs. She is fine with big dogs as they would not have been forced on her. We are working on this daily. There are still things which scare her - banging doors, hands suddenly above her head, some men she doesn't know but hopefully with time she will become more confident.
The most surprising thing about owning a King Charles Spaniel is...
Daisy is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel which is a larger dog than a King Charles and her face is not as snubbed. Absolutely nothing surprises me about her as I have owned the breed before and love her to bits.
What I wish I’d known about King Charles Spaniels is...
Daisy can be stubborn and likes life to be on her terms. But the breed is so very easy to live with.
