Say Hello to Amalfi

My favourite thing about Amalfi is...
his constant reassuring presence, he follows us absolutely everywhere! He is such a timid boy but so loving and such brilliant company. His mannerisms are hilarious too, from his ability to be fast asleep in another room to being under your feet the minute the fridge door opens, to his big almond shaped eyes looking lovingly at you thinking you are going to share that food Mummie right?
The biggest challenge with Amalfi is...
going from being timid to growing in confidence and wanting to bound towards absolutely everyone we see when out on a walk. It is often hard trying to discipline him as he is so pleased to see people and has so much energy but is so loving and excited. I know he will settle as he develops but his crazy teenage faze is here to stay for a while longer and he is so much fun!
The most surprising thing about owning a Labrador Retriever is...
their constant hunger is legendary! They have two personalities no matter what age they are, from being the cutest but mischievious chocolate devil stealing socks, hairbrushes, tea towels and laundry one minute to being complete cuddle bunnies seconds later and just wanting to show you their love. Incredibly loyal, very clever and labradorable beyond measure, a house is not a home without one.
What I wish I’d known about Labrador Retrievers is...
how absolutely daft they are and such personalities, they steal your heart. My first girl was a complete diva, real pouty poo, sulk queen, no sense of direction but so loving and loyal. Always by my side through happy and sad times, looked after me when ill. Incredible how they sense your moods. Superb and gentle with children. My boy Amalfi is so timid and shy, he is my shadow and I love him 110%
