Personality Quirks and also how gentle and loving he is
The biggest challenge with Mando is...
He isn’t neutered so marks territory a lot, also he is a black lab and a lot of dogs/people seem to be scared of big black dogs
The most surprising thing about owning a Labrador Retriever is...
He is a working type, so be aware that means a difference in character, not just looks. His drive and energy levels are much higher than that of a show lab (but we wanted working type)
What I wish I’d known about Labrador Retrievers is...
I did a lot of research so knew what we were getting into, the only thing I didn’t know about was “swimmers tail”, which is basically a sprained tail, can be from too much swimming in cold water but also excessive wagging!
Did you know?
Labradors are excellent swimmers due to their webbed toes.
