Say Hi to Ruby
Labrador Retriever, 10 years old
She came from we got her at 11months old from a good family but sadly could not look after her due to a marriage split.
My favourite thing about Ruby is...
she is very friendly with both dogs and children, loves playing with the grand children, very ball orientated
The biggest challenge with Ruby is...
very independant ,where there is water Ruby is in ,we live at the seaside so loves the beach, once in the water hard to get her out ,her sense of smell is unique and will follow her nose ,often ending up rolling in something rather smelly which is her favourite trick, can smell a ball out when lost its so funny how she does it
The most surprising thing about owning a Labrador Retriever is...
Everyday is different, they give you so much pleasure and love ,cannot imagine life without her, always had two but her soul mate passed last year at 15 Heidi, she too was a joy to have and also a rescue at 1 year old
What I wish I’d known about Labrador Retrievers is...
They do moult alot ,but weekly grooming keeps on top oif it ,a good vacumn is essential
Did you know
Originally Labrador Retrievers worked with fishermen and were bred to bring back fish-laden nets.
