Greetings from Ralph
Lakeland Terrier, 1 Year old
My favourite thing about Ralph is...
Ralph is a real little character cheeky, mischievous, affectionate, friendly and energetic. He keeps me on my toes. He loves his walks and loves to run around the park or on the beach with other dogs. He is a friendly sociable dog with others and with people too.
The biggest challenge with Ralph is...
He is a typical terrier so can be willful, you need to be the boss. He has a high prey drive so likes to chase things. Can be a bit vocal at times too.
The most surprising thing about owning a Lakeland Terrier is...
They are very affectionate and he loves a cuddle. High energy levels mean loves to be out on walks and playing with toys. Training can be a challenge as they are willful but also intelligent and like to be stimulated.
What I wish I’d known about Lakeland Terriers is...
Do your homework and research the breed traits. You need to give them plenty of exercise, and attention.
Did you know?
They’re thought to be a threatened native breed and are becoming increasingly rare.
