My favourite thing about Bean is...

There aren’t enough characters to describe the love that Bean has brought into our hearts and our homes, or her many wonderful qualities. Not only is she totally gorgeous (yes, I know I’m biased) with her beautiful Merle coat and icy blue eyes, but she had the biggest personality. I think our favourite thing would have to be all the funny noises she makes, especially when sleeping and playing.

The biggest challenge with Bean is...

Her intelligence. Friends, family and even our vet have all commented on her insane intelligence levels which means she’s constantly out smarting us and pushing us to think up new games! We love the challenge though and can’t wait to watch her and her brilliant mind grow!

The most surprising thing about owning a Mastiff is...

Bean is a Cane Corso (an Italian Mastiff). It’s a breed we’ve always loved and hoped to have one day, so we have really done our research, but her intelligence has definitely surprised us. She is only 12 weeks and has figured out how to unlock her play pen using her tongue! Very impressive stuff!

What I wish I’d known about Mastiffs is...

How quickly they can grow. She’s only 12 weeks and is already the size of a beagle! Sometimes we forget we have a puppy - until she gets the zoomies!

Did you know?

The Mastiff is one of the most ancient and valued breeds (for hunting, guarding and as war dogs) - and many countries in the world have their own versions.
