Say Hi to Furia
Rhodesian Ridgeback, 2 years old
My favourite thing about Furia is...
Her love of football. She is the best attacking midfielder. She is never tired and would be good as a goal keeper too. She is always ready to strike back and loves to watch football. Futia is cute, funny, and full of unconditional love. I like to take care of her and vice versa.
The biggest challenge with Furia is...
Her jumping. I found her foot prints on my piano, my window and the table last week😂. We are still working on it.
The most surprising thing about owning a Rhodesian Ridgeback is...
Intelligence. They are very intelligent dogs. One day I said to my children to bring a plate for a tea. My dog brought her bowl too. I was so surprised but as she brought her plate, she received her meat.
What I wish I’d known about Rhodesian Ridgebacks is...
They have never-ending strength and will to play.
Did you know?
The anatomical feature that gives the breed its name is the ridge of hair that grows down its back - and makes it instantly recognisable. This ridge is formed by the hair growing in a totally different direction to the rest of the coat and is capped at the top with two ‘crowns’ (whorls) that are directly opposite each other. This is shared by only one other (far less common) breed, the Thai Ridgeback.
