Say Hi to Buster
Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 13 years old
My favourite thing about Buster is...
His temperament, he's very calm and loves to snuggle. He loves human attention. He's a gentle giant and acts like a baby when my two cats try to lay with him. He loves stealing my slippers so I can chase after him. He loves small walks along the river. He loves sunbathing. Fridays are his favourite day as he gets to see my brother. He'll sit by the front door until he comes
The biggest challenge with Buster is...
When he was younger, he would be very stubborn. He would choose to ignore you. Recall was his worse attribute, this led to some very scary moments. As he's gotten older the most challenging thing is his health concerns. Definetly worrying seeing different health worries appear
The most surprising thing about owning a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is...
How friendly they are. They have a very bad stereotype and it's caused by bad owners. All the staffies I have ever met have been gentle giants who have the biggest smiles. Just want attention. They love their bums scratched, and to play rough.
What I wish I’d known about Staffordshire Bull Terriers is...
How stubborn they can be. My dog can be the most stubborn good and bad. The funniest thing Buster does is he loves to kick me out of bed so he can lay with his head on my pillow and tucked in. He'll snore his head off for hours. He will not move even with me trying to move him
