Come and meet Lady Saskia
Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 3 years old
My favourite thing about Lady Saskia is...
She is so loving, happy, cheeky, loyal and loves her companion Logan who is a rescue cross boxer / American Bulldog. She lays on top of him to sleep and has done since a puppy. She adores him, even though she torments him playing with toys. She also loves our four cats and tortoise. She is a blessing.
The biggest challenge with Lady Saskia is...
She has no filter. If she knows she is going to the park she goes daft pulling until she gets there. Also she loves me watering plants with the hose in the summer. She goes and sits next to the hose reel for ages to let me know it is time. Then jumps through the stream of water constantly. She is fantastic.
The most surprising thing about owning a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is...
Saskia just loves people. She wants to say hello to everyone when on a walk. Her tail is like a helicopter blade the minute she sees anybody. Loves being made a fuss of. She loves her tummy being tickled. I sing her the tickle on the tum song every morning and she rolls on to her back to let me rub her tummy. It is hilarious.
What I wish I’d known about Staffordshire Bull Terriers is...
You need to have plenty of time to exercise and play with and love these beautiful dogs. They will in return give you so much love and affection and loyalty back.
Did you know?
One of the most popular events in the main ring at Crufts over the past few years has been the East Anglia Staffordshire Bull Terrier Display Team, who show their dogs doing everything from competitive agility, to tricks to working with children.
