Say Hello to Rosie

Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 13 years old

🌳 Countryside dog
🍷 Lives with adults only
Rosie was adopted!

She came from RSPCA .

My favourite thing about Rosie is...

She loves cuddles & meeting her friends. She had been starved before we adopted her, & weighed a pitiful 8.9 kilos when we picked her up, (which was after the RSPCA had already had her for 2 weeks). She does not bark at all when she wants to go out for toileting, she goes to door & stares at it, if nothing happens, then she will attract attention & go & stare at the door again.

The biggest challenge with Rosie is...

As she is getting older, she is losing her hearing, so she is glued to your ankle (no turning around in a hurry, as you will fall over her)!

The most surprising thing about owning a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is...

Their loyalty; they love you whatever, & their absolute joy at seeing you again, whether it be 20 mins, or 3 hours.

What I wish I’d known about Staffordshire Bull Terriers is...

what a wonderful animal they really are when treated with love & kindness. They are fantastic pets, & we would not hesitate to have another.

Did you know?

Developed originally by James Hinks of Birmingham, this breed was appearing at dog shows as early as 1862. But it wasn’t until the 1930s when it was recognised as being a separate breed from the Bull Terrier and had a name change to distinguish the two, adding the county name where it had become so popular.
