Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 6 years old
My favourite thing about Zeusifer is...
His warm affection for everyone, assuming all people want to pet him and all children want to play. He’s a really quick learner and soon works out how to earn his treats. Zeus is a great companion knowing when cuddles are most appreciated. Good on walks and has a very pleasant social life. Plenty females in his day to day living and timid/shy and normally unapproachable dogs seem to love him too 🐾
The biggest challenge with Zeusifer is...
Surprisingly not that many. He does like to have most of the duvet and bed space, stretching out and even pushing to move you over…. Zeus loves a game of throw on the stairs, stemming from being so little once he could climb the stairs but be so afraid to come down, so he’d toss the ball down to me and ‘tell’ me to throw it back up. I think it’s kinda cute though so never tell him no.
The most surprising thing about owning a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is...
They're a loving, attentive breed. With boundless amounts of energy, they literally don’t have an off switch.
What I wish I’d known about Staffordshire Bull Terriers is...
25 years ago when I adopted my first Staffordshire Bull Terrier I wish I'd had known how determined a breed they are. I would have been so much more prepared for their way of wanting everyone to play by their rules of which are many... e.g. When I fall asleep on your lap, let me stay there. If I want your dinner, then you should give it to me. Favoured one, when I retire for the eve you do too!
