We were not quite sure what to expect as do not usually pick dog food specifically for "athletic" dogs but we have a large very active dog and looking after her joints and general wellbeing is important to us. Straight away, the food looked really appealing even to us as humans (even more so to our dog who was really excited the moment the pack arrived) and judging by the feedback received it must taste really good too. Dog's been eating the food very happily and never left any behind which is rare for a dry food. We care a lot about what our dog eats and the list of ingredients for Purina's large athletic adult is pretty clean and clear with no unnecessary additives which is reassuring. Feeding instructions were also clear and packaging robust. We now feed this twice a day (morning and evening) and our dog is very happy and energetic. Her coat is also shinier than before.
When this arrived at my house my big fur baby Skye couldn't wait to try this mega bag of dog food,I have uploaded a picture but she was too excited to try it she overtook the camera.my dog usually has a mix of dry and wet food,as she is a athletic dog and constantly on the go.
Safe to say she loves it on its own and I also keep some in my treat bag when on walkies definitely recommend this product to owners with dogs who may have a fussy eater as my Skye usually doesn't like new flavours but she gobbled this up no trouble
Great food. My dog loved this food, no stomach issues and gave him the energy he needed to keep him on the go. I've tried other food for my energetic collie but this seems to be the perfect balance. No side effects. And he loved the taste. This is definitely his new favourite
The first few days my dog refused to eat it i added 1/4 cup to his exsisting food and seemed to pick around it bit then slowly started to eat some now he is on just this food . His toilet habits are much better instead of having 6+ Little poops on a walk he is having 1 proper one each walk which must feel better for him i gavent noticed any other changing in him apart from toilet but thats good enough . Will be buying from now on
