This is a great dog food. It consists of large kibble and obviously smells great to dogs, as my dog began scoffing it soon as I put it in her bowl! Even my mums elderly dog (who has no teeth and usually has only wet food) somehow managed to eat some of this kibble in favour of his own bowl of food! My lovely Luna who is always energetic has become 'turbocharged ' on this food. It is obviously filling her full of energy and vitality. I would buy this food for her in future.
I have one quite fussy eater at home , and her name is Bailey. She usually dont like to eat dry kibbels only, need always mix with some wet food, youghurt or some left overs. Anyway , this one is smelling and looking so good , she was so excited when the big bag arrived and I decided to offerher a cup of dry kibbles only - what a speed . She eat everything and I can say she wanted more. The best part is that she dont have any indigestion issues , all is perfect.
This feed has proven a real hit, the pictures don't do it justice just how well received this feed has been. It has been 8 years since my girl would ever consider eating plain kibble, it has always had to be baited with wet food pouches or other titt bitts to get her to eat.
The benefits to using this kibble as a complete feed are sigificant, as the harder chunks will help remove plaque on her teeth, as I am not having to soften the kibble with something in a gravy. As well as better understand the calorific value of what is going into the beast, although with a Great Dane the challenge has always been keeping her interested in eating. So far, this feed seems to really agree with her digestively but more to follow as we work our way through the pack.
The pictures are more significant than reading the pack but from what I have gleaned from the packet it ticks all the boxes in terms of enough Fibre, Protein and essential oils to keep the Dog and coat healthy. In this case, the kibble must be exciting and meaty, my great dane is fussy and over entitled but with this she put one biscuit on the floor and devoured the rest. This is a stark contrast to normal, she will happily hunger strike with the real conviction of a true martyr if the offering of food is not acceptable and a family member that dog sits for her has accepted the need to offer her Sausage Sandwiches. Growing up she landed on a Kibble+ diet, after suffering Pano, we limited her protein intake to manage this and the rest is history, and this is why she isn't on the ritzy raw diet... Plus the smells from a Dane on Raw is intense.
In summary, this is a real hit. I am staggered by how much she likes it. I am very pleased she is happy with it and a silver lining is that its competitive in cost to her current feed but does't need every bowl baited with a wet pouch to get her to eat it. I have tried many different brands over the last 8 years and this is the first to meet such a standard.
my dog absolutely loves this food. as soon as it arrived, he was interested in it. opened the bag and the tail went wild. loves the taste, the size of the pieces is just right. i am following the feeding guide and Hes very satisfied with the amount I'm giving him. Hes very happy and satisfied with this food. loves the flavour. it's a well-balanced food with complete nutrients for a health robust dog.
