GOURMET® Gold Pate Recipes Wet Cat Food

I bought the meaty pate selection not only for my three cats, Wingnut Cubert Picklebutt, Clancy Faladoodledoodah McHooligan and my semi-feral Poppy Doppy Frankenkitty , i also chose it with my 3 wild hoglets (late fall juvenile hedgehogs too young and small to hibernate) Jenny Jen-Jen, Hamble and Jemima (remember play school?) in mind as hedgehogs can only eat the meaty kind not ones containing fish.
Now fall is well upon us, the nights are drawing in and the rain is cold , it is time for hot dins for my kitties.
After a long day running amok in the garden getting cold feet and butts and snoring on my bed they get a hot dinner to warm them up, after all, who doesn't like a hot dinner on a cold and wet night?
What i do is mix a 3rd of a tin and a handful of whatever kitty biscuits they are on and add hot water from the kettle. Give it a good mix round and, since this is a mousse like pate it makes for a nice gravy leave for a minute or so whilst i get the hungry threesome to sit and then once all are sitting dinner is served.
Yep, i have trained my cats, sit, lie down, ask, smooch (problem here is Wingnut tries to stick his tongue down my throat typical male) hiya, hello with different paws and sundry other stuff. My semi feral took 2 days to learn sit.

My three hedgehogs who when they first arrived on different nights different weeks weighed 300g, 420g and 360g as named.

Currently Jenny Jen-Jen weighs 660g so she is ready to go but i will wait till she is over 700g and we get a spell of milder nights so i can acclimatize her to the weather, Hamble weighs 580g and Jemima weighs 420g but she is the youngest by a good couple of weeks.

I have 25 plus hedgehogs that visit during the week and i can usually tell who the parents are when the juveniles turn up, sometimes with mom sometimes alone as per these three.
Hermione is mom to Jenny Jen-Jen, Bungle (Rainbow anyone?) is dad to Hamble as both have faces that look like they ran into a wall (all his offspring take after him)
And Jemima was the other doll in playschool and i don't know who her parents are those i suspect Tiggy is mom and Junior likely is her dad.
As each new hog turns up they get weighed, sexed, marked with some nail polish on their spines in different color combinations and locations to make for each id when it comes to weekly weigh ins and health check for injury, ticks fleabies etc.

I feed everyone on dried meal worms, crushed peanuts, sultanas, sunflower hearts kitty biscuits occasional chopped boiled egg and currently with my 3 hoglets i also split a tin of meaty pate between them, some in the evening when they wake up and some in the morning before they go to bed. They also being rowdy little buggers and squabble over who gets the best and warmest bit of the bed will wake up during the day for a drink (or paddle) and a few bites before returning to the bedroom scrum and shouting because their spot got hijacked and they are now on top of the pile, prickles and legs everywhere.
I feed the meat separate to the dry stuff so i know it is being eaten as opposed to walked through or worn when they decide to sleep in the food dish because they are sulking.

They love the meaty pate and it is a race between who wolfs the meat down first and who eats most of the meal worms before everything else.
Table manners they have none of and much swearing and general grumbling ensues when it comes to who gets first dibs even though there is room for all and plenty to go round.

The pate is light, smells nice and judging by empty bowls and dishes tastes pretty darn good as well.
If i get some more vouchers in the future i would love to try the other meaty varieties such as the savory cake, casseroles, terrines and the gravy ones, plus just for the kitties only, the various fish varieties.
Sometimes i think their dinner looks better than mine and sometimes even smells better.

Currently i have 3 kitties with full tummies snoring on my bed and 3 hedgehogs in a prickle pile with one of them dreaming, twitching and grumping in her sleep.

My cat loves this product, he is very fussy but loves the flakes and texture of this product
