I thought my cat ruben was more interested in the box however, he seems to think this food is the best even hissing at the dog if she dares to go near his food. The food itself looks good quality with very even colour and shape. It has a distinctive smell which obviously appeals to Ruben. Long may it continue, I did wonder if Ruben would get tired of rhis food once the novelty wore off but he is still liking it and for a fussy monkey like him this is a real breakthrough he sits and waits for his food then its head down and tuck in until its gone. I'm really surprised. Ruben is still enjoying this food it the longest he has been interested in any food and if anyone has a fussy cat I would thoroughly recommend it. It is still very fresh in the bag just like the day I opened it and I think that this may make the difference other than the fact he obviously likes the taste and smell still.
We would defiantly recommend this to others. My cat Fred loved them straight away and wolfed the first bowl down very quickly.
Fred is 19 this year and sometimes has problems eating biscuits due to having a lot of his teeth removed but the biscuits were quite small in size which was great for him.
Now when I put wet food and these down, he goes straight to PRO PLAN® Adult 7+ Sterilised LONGEVIS Turkey Dry Cat Food.
My cat Maisy, is a fussy cat when it comes to food whether wet or dry. She will like something today and then not tomorrow.
However this Pro-Plan ® Adult 7+ Sterilised LONGEVIS Turkey Dry Cat Food was not like this I would put out a small bowl and she eats it day after day.
Their is no obvious smell you get from this dry cat food like unlike others and they seem suitably crunchie.
My cat Polly, a very fussy british shorthair, has been eating wet food only for the past 2-3 years with occasional Dreamies thrown into the mix.
Whenever we tried to give her dried food, she wouldn't have any of it, so I was a bit sceptical about this campaign. To my surprise she's loving the Purina and we can just fill up her bowl and leave it for her to nibble throughout the day. She used to be sick from the wet food, sometimes several times a week. With Purina, so far, fingers crossed, no signs of sick. So to summarise, seems like we'll be switching to ProPlan permanently.
