Meet Queenie

Basset Hound, 12 years old

🏠 Suburbs dog
🍷 Lives with adults only
Queenie was adopted!

My favourite thing about Queenie is...

She is a very sweet girl, very gentle with my grandchildren, and has recently started to play and have yummy tickles. She enjoys her food !

The biggest challenge with Queenie is...

She is very nervous of men, she must be harnessed when out walking, she jolts alot, and slobbers.

The most surprising thing about owning a Basset Hound is...

There is no quick walk, you go at her pace. And when she's had enough she lays down! When we got her she was very stressed and was smelly, and can still be, if upset.

What I wish I’d known about Basset Hounds is...

The amount she sheds fur.

Did you know?

Basset Hounds are the second-best sniffers in the canine world, second only to the Bloodhound.
