Say Hello to Rosie
Labrador Retriever, 5 years old
My favourite thing about Rosie is...
She is a natural support dog, I had a severe car accident after she arrived and she is a keen snuggler. Nudges me when I need to sit down or nudges me into the bedroom when I need to rest. I would be lost without her and she is such a character, she has been adopted in the local pubs, often gets called over & spoilt. As she is always well mannered and never attempts to go into restaurants.
The biggest challenge with Rosie is...
Stealing balls, we carry spare and pass them to the owners as she is such a little thief. But so adorable.
The most surprising thing about owning a Labrador Retriever is...
She is so loyal and affectionate with everyone. Local children and adults alike love when she is out and throw balls and sticks for her. She never gets bored and rewards them with affection and kisses.
What I wish I’d known about Labrador Retrievers is...
Their fur gets everywhere; they moult like crazy, love a ball or stick and they are so greedy and there are are no such thing as an unhappy day.
Did you know?
Labradors are excellent swimmers due to their webbed toes.
