Greetings from Aida
Belgian Shepherd Dog Malinois & German Shepherd Dog, 5 years old
My favourite thing about Aida is...
Aida is the most loving, funny, goofy girl. She loves people and especially loves children. When my daughter was born, Aida never left her side, and they have grown up together and are the best of friends.
The biggest challenge with Aida is...
She is very vocal with other dogs! We are working with her to try to limit her barking when other dogs approach, it is a defence mechanism as off lead she doesn't bark at all. Once she has met the dog, she loves to play, but she can put them off with her vocalisation.
The most surprising thing about owning a Belgian Shepherd Dog Malinois & German Shepherd Dog is...
She's much more into cuddling than I thought! I expected her to be more aloof!
What I wish I’d known about Belgian Shepherd Dog Malinoiss & German Shepherd Dogs is...
It is very important for anyone planning on getting this crossbreed, or any of these shepherd breeds, to ensure they have the time to train them. They are very smart, energetic dogs that are bred to work, they are not suited for homes where they will not be stimulated. I did my research so knew what I was getting into!
