Hello from Rio

He came from Guide dogs uk .
My favourite thing about Rio is...
His sense of humour! He makes us laugh everyday with his antics. His kindness to our other older dog is heartwarming to see. I also love how fun he is to train. We have enjoyed Hoopers, Scent work, obedience, Parkour and looking forward to starting Mantrailing soon.
The biggest challenge with Rio is...
He loves to roll! A completely normal dog behaviour of course but boy… he can find some stinky things to roll in or on! We’ve had the usual poop based rolling but add to that a dead fish at the beach!
The most surprising thing about owning a Golden Retriever is...
The sensitive side that can be hard to see but comes out in behaviours. Others would label as stubborn perhaps but Rio just needs a little extra support sometimes.
What I wish I’d known about Golden Retrievers is...
They are the comedians of the dog world
