Get to know Lola

Labrador Retriever, 2 years old

🌳 Countryside dog
🍷 Lives with adults only

My favourite thing about Lola is...

Lola has an affectionate open personality who loves other dogs and people alike. Her favorite sleeping position is laying on her back while quiet often raising her legs in the air, not very dignified I admit but nevertheless can be amusing. She has a built in early warning device alerting me to her meal times and can be relied on to be accurate to within a minute! typical Labrador.

The biggest challenge with Lola is...

Lola is a very lively energetic young dog who needs constant challenges as she easily becomes bored. She loves a game of hide and seek with treats to find as a reward. She loves her three daily walks which usually include play time with other dogs en route. This activity helps to strengthen her confidence and she is now becoming more aware of which dogs are to be avoided as unfriendly.

The most surprising thing about owning a Labrador Retriever is...

The wonderful relationship between dog and human. She is very affectionate, loyal and to us the most beautiful dog in the world. She has a rich deep chocolate brown coat and the most amazing luminous green eyes, a real show stopper and invariably attracts compliments from all the people she meets. Owning a dog is a guaranteed way of making friends, especially a lovely dog like Lola

What I wish I’d known about Labrador Retrievers is...

We thought we knew everything about Labrador Retrievers as Lola is not our first one and is as different from our previous dog as it is possible to be. Certainly there are typical characteristics of the breed but each dog has its unique personality, traits and strengths which give them the individuality so endearing to their owners. Would not change her one bit.
