Labrador Retriever, 16 years old
He came from East Midlands dog rescue .
My favourite thing about Marley is...
He loves cuddles, going for a swim, chasing footballs or tennis balls. He just loves people, other dogs
The biggest challenge with Marley is...
Marley had not had a home, was used for breeding and was starved and denied water. Not used to human touch. Any food he could get was his, even the blackberries from next doors back garden. Took awhile for him to understand he would get feed everyday. He soon understood being stroked was nice and had his fav comfy spot by sofa
The most surprising thing about owning a Labrador Retriever is...
He really is just one of a kind (I have had two other labs)
What I wish I’d known about Labrador Retrievers is...
Each dog has its own character no matter the breed and it is lovely watching it come out. To see Marley go from jumping a puddle as scared of water to 6 months down the line him jumping in a paddling pool was fantastic
