Rufus was adopted!

My favourite thing about Rufus is...

He's a feisty intelligent lad with a very loving and protective nature. He is also a superb hot water bottle in the cooler evenings, he has an excellent sense of humour and he is a funny and loving companion.

The biggest challenge with Rufus is...

He lost his eyesight to glaucoma recently, but is adapting well to his new circumstances. He is VERY protective of myself and the lady who looks after him whilst I work. He's getting on in years with the inevitable problems that brings re. health.

The most surprising thing about owning a Parson Russell Terrier is...

Their inquisitive and intelligent nature.

What I wish I’d known about Parson Russell Terriers is...

Their propensity for vision problems.

Did you know

For many years people have argued over what constitutes the ‘proper Jack Russell Terrier’ and the type that eventually became most common was a short legged, rather round bodied terrier, often sporting the turned-in legs and turned-out toes commonly referred to as ‘Queen Anne legs’ after the style of furniture.
