Yorkshire Terrier, 6 years old
My favourite thing about Wookie is...
Everything. She is loving, loyal, intelligent, energetic, walks for miles and is willing to have a go at anything. Rain, snow, wind, hail....nothing phases her. She wants her walkies. She swims, climbs the odd tree, and even though she can hear a gnat sneeze in the next county, loud noises don't frighten her. Rats are history if she sees one. She is what Yorkies should be. My 1800's hunter killer.
The biggest challenge with Wookie is...
Keeping that intelligent brain occupied!
The most surprising thing about owning a Yorkshire Terrier is...
If you allow them to just be a dog, don't baby them or treat them like a handbag toy, they show you just what amazing creatures they are.
What I wish I’d known about Yorkshire Terriers is...
They are proper dogs. They don't have to be yappy, snappy, scared little dogs. Within their size limitations they are just as capable as a big dog. Let them shine!
