Recommended daily amount (pouch/day)
For an average cat of 4 kg and 7-11 years old, feed up to 3 pouches per day and for a cat >11 years old, feed up to 3½ pouches per day in at least 2 separate meals. The senior maintenance averages are based on moderately active cats. Individual needs vary and feeding should be adjusted as required to maintain your cat at a lean, healthy body weight.
Serve at room temperature. Clean, fresh drinking water should always be available.

My older cat is very fussy and often doesn’t seem very excited by the wet food I usually give him. He’s also getting on a bit (he must be 17) and I’m keen to keep him in as good condition as possible so he can enjoy his twilight years snoozing about the house and (still) terrorising the dog.
I like the idea of this product because it’s specially made for older cats so hopefully will contain all the nutrients he needs. However, my old cat is the most important - and harshest - critic.
It’s safe to say he loves his new food. He gets stuck in and eats it all very quickly, whereas with other food he can lose interest quickly. The food itself looks like it’s good quality and has a pate-like texture. Our younger cat also really likes it and has been keen to lick the bowl clean afterwards too! I will be moving to this good in the future if our cats continue to enjoy it.
My cat Murphy is usually fussy when it comes to trying new food but we have tried Purina food before and know he likes the taste so we hoped he would also like this one too. My cat eats both dry and wet food and absolutely loves meaty chunks in gravy. He is not usually a fan of terrine style food but he absolutely loved this turkey flavour terrine. As soon as I opened the pouch he came running to his bowl and he liked it so much he licked the bowl clean. He adored it and asked for more when the pouch was finished. We know we are on to a winner and the fact that it is designed for senior sterilised cats we are assured it is perfect for him. The texture of the terrine is not just like a pate, it also has some small meat morsels, which makes it different to the usual paste-like terrines we have tried before . Murphy has loved his food and we are happy to have found a quality senior food which looks after his health.
When you have a fussy cat, it is hard to find something that he is happy to eat, but proplan senior sterilised longevis was a huge hit! Not only did he love it, but I was really pleased to note the additional urinary benefits it provides, as we have had issues with this in the past. This is a complete food but I like a mix of wet and dry, and find this to be a great addition to the proplan range for urinary care! Happy healthy cat equals happy mama!
As our cat is getting older its important to look after his heath and wellbeing, as this is sterilised food and specifically made for the older cat in their senior years, it was great to see that as soon as we opened the pouch he was there meowing waiting for it to land in his bowl. One quick sniff later and he's down to work, and within a few minutes it's gone and he's hounding for more.
The texture and flavour seam on point for him, and it smells fine. The chunks are also of fine size, not too big or too small for him. Only slight negative is this would be useful in flavour rotation, as we're used to varying his flavour and type
