Say Hello to Cassie
Staffordshire Bull Terrier & Labrador Retriever, 4 years old
She came from Hillbrae Dog Rescue, Shropshire .
My favourite thing about Cassie is...
She's a ball of energy, but is gentle with kids & old folk. She knows when I'm going to have a hypo (without any training) 5 mins before I know! She affectionate, intelligent, funny & knows how to cheer us up. She makes friends with people & other dogs and loves to play ball. She curls up between us on the sofa & snores loudly! We love her to bits & she returns the affection threefold.
The biggest challenge with Cassie is...
She took a long time to house train, got the idea of the wee pads almost immediately, but not the idea of toileting outside. She got the hang of it though! She ate 2 winter coats and my mobile when she was little, but now sticks to her own toys. The biggest 'challenge' we have now is that she knows everyone loves her! And, she's scared of the sheep in the field next to our house.
The most surprising thing about owning a Staffordshire Bull Terrier & Labrador Retriever is...
How clever she is and how much energy she has. She seems to have taken the best attributes from each breed and results in a happy dog.
What I wish I’d known about Staffordshire Bull Terriers & Labrador Retrievers is...
How strong she is! She definitely has the strength of a staffie which I wasn't expecting.
